My fantasy football team sucks. I thought it might when I drafted it, and it turns out it does. My wide receivers are terrible and consistently underperform. My RBs were supposed to be decent, but I felt uneasy about them at draft time too. Turns out one is a total underperformer (Steven Jackson), and one can't stay out of trouble with the law (Larry Johnson). Johnson sucked even before he was avoiding jail. If I hadn't picked up Steve Slaton and Matt Forte, my season would be a total bust. I also have Kurt Warner, who has saved my ass at times.
I think what makes it even harder is that some weeks I do well. Really well actually. Then there are weeks like this, where I will lose even though Austin forgot to fill in a roster spot. Ouch.
Why do I care? Well, because I like to win. :) And, fantasy football actually is fun, but it's more fun when I do well. Just like everything else in life I suppose. Oh well - I might have to resign myself to mediocrity this year. As all good Minnesota sports fans say (and must embrace in order to live here), there's always next year!
